Capcom has revealed to IGN that in April 2010, it will finally be time to take the fight back to the streets with Final Fight: Double Impact for Xbox LIVE Arcade and the PlayStation Network.
Contrary to what the name may lead you to believe, the downloadable double-pack does not contain two Final Fight games, but rather, the first Final Fight and another Capcom brawler, the fantasy-themed Magic Sword.
In addition to leaderboards and online co-op play that allows additional players to join in or drop out at any time, the games will feature two ways to view the game: the original oldschool pixelated look, and a “smooth” version that will “make the games shine in crisp and clear HD glory.”
It’s difficult to tell because of IGN’s watermarks, but in addition to the “Classic,” “Smooth,” “Arcade Monitor,” and “Crisp” visual modes, there are also different screen sizes. Referred to as “Zoom” and Cabinet,” the latter appears to place borders resembling the oldschool arcade cabinets on the sides of the screen.
There are nine rather large screens in total; to check them all out, head over to IGN’s gallery.
