Microsoft announces Forza 3 Fastest Lap Competition

Those still wondering why Forza 3 wanted to know their shoe size can stop scratching their heads in bemusement, as Microsoft UK has announced a competition with the winner receiving a pair of F3-centric Speed Cat 2.9 PUMA trainers.

Those who participate in the Forza Motorsport 3 Fastest Lap Competition and are one of the top ten finishers, will each receive a pair of the exclusive Forza tennis shoes and first place also gets to spend the day with a real Audi S4 (or equivalent).

Second place will earn a Limited Edition Forza branded Elite Console.

To try your hand at it, instructions are posted below the break explaining the best car setup, track, and lap time info. It all starts today and you have until December 17 to submit your fastest times along with a screenshot as proof.

Set-up Instructions:

Initial Menu choose Free Play
Then Hot Lap
Choose the Audi S4 – downloadable free from the current “Hot Holidays” PDLC.
Choose the Camino Viejo de Montserrat course – *FULL Track*
After getting an impressive lap time, *pause* the game and get a picture of the screen. The shot must include your gamertag, car and best lap time (all clearly presented in the table).

Rules

Who: Only one media member from each publication please (where more than one applicant from a publication submits a time, only the fastest will qualify for the prize). Give everyone a chance to win.

Car: Audi S4 (any colour, though everyone knows red makes a car faster)

Track: Camino Viejo de Montserrat – *FULL Track*

Assists: Completely up to you (Auto-brake is NOT your friend!)

Rewind function: Go mad.

Timing: Competition starts now up until 5pm 17/12/09.

If you submit your fastest lap then beat it later in the week, feel free to submit the new one.

Proof:

A screenshot (camera, phone etc) of the in-game pause screen – clearly showing your gamertag, car and best last time. The course must also be recognisable.

Any screenshots of a lower quality, or failing to display the above information clearly and in full will not be deemed valid.

Submissions must be received by 5pm GMT, 17/12/09. Any submissions received after this time will not be entered in the competition. No purchase necessary. Puma trainers and Forza console will be delivered to the winners to the address specified by the winner. First prize of the day with supercar must be taken on a day designated by Microsoft and may be subject to third party Terms and Conditions. Prizes are not transferable. No cash alternatives to prizes will be offered. Participants must be 18 and over, living in the UK and prizes may only be claimed within the UK. Microsoft employees and their families are not permitted to enter. By entering the competition, participants are consenting to the use of their name and / or gamertag by Microsoft for promotional purposes if they win. Results will be announced after the closing date has ended and will be notified by email. In the event of a dispute, the decision of the adjudicator is final. English law applies. Winner must hold a full UK driving license must to drive the supercar. In other circumstances, a driver will be provided. Microsoft reserves the right to change or alter the first prize without prior warning or notification.
