Modders Already Working on XBOX 360 ‘Un-Ban’ Hack

Just a little over two weeks ago, Microsoft banned a pretty hefty number of modded 360 consoles. Apparently the hacking community is already hard at work at countering this measure.

360Mods is reporting that a hacker going by the alias ‘c4eva’ is working on a firmware revision for the Lite-On and Hitachi DVD-ROM drives the 360 uses to bypass online security tests. The mod is titled iXtreme LT (which stands for light touch). If successful, users would be able to play pirated games and DVDs without worry.

According to DailyTech, the fix is currently unavailable, but modders are hard at work on it.
