Pakistan vs New Zealand Test Series 2009 Schedule

Pakistan will tour of New Zealand to play a 3-match Test series in 2009. Their Test series will start from 24th November and it will continue till 15th December, 2009. Before the start of the opening match, Pakistan cricket team will play a three days practice match against New Zealand Invitation XI. Time and venues of this Test series have already been finalized.

There is no doubt that the test series between Pakistan and Sri Lanka are going to be a competitive one. Pakistan cricket team is not in good form. They could not win any series either. That is why, they should struggle hard to get victory against New Zealand. You should know that Pakistan lost to New Zealand 2-1 in a recently concluded 3-match ODI series. It was a revenge game for Pakistan team for their defeat in the Champions Trophy. But they failed to take revenge. Now, they will fight to come back in the winning streak.

New Zealand is in good form. They are continuously performing well. As it is home Test series for New Zealand team, it is expected that they will play well and snatch the victory. Pakistan will face some problem to play in Kiwi.

New Zealand skipper Daniel Vettori has been taken in the New Zealand squad after being announced fit to play. His inclusion has increased the strength of New Zealand team. However, Pakistan cricket team will have to tour without their captain Younis Khan. Recently, he has resigned from captaincy and has taken decision to take rest. Perhaps he is passing very bad time in his career. May be he could not take extra pressure. Mohammad Yousuf will lead Pakistan cricket team in this series. For the first time, he has been appointed as captain. I have to admit that he is a very experienced and old player in Pakistan cricket. With the bat he has shown his class. Now, it is the time to see if he can give anything as captain.
