Sonic the Hedgehog 4 Has A Secret (Sega Dreamcast 2) Platform

Sega will be milking the announcement of Sonic the Hedgehog 4 for all its worth, doling out additional announcements and countdown clocks to drum up hedgehog hype. Perhaps the most interesting tease is the game’s fourth platform.

Sonic 4 (nee “Project Needlemouse“) has been officially announced as a PlayStation Network, WiiWare and Xbox Live Arcade download, but a handful of observant readers have pointed out that an additional platform appears imminent. A hidden logo, one that appeared in the announcement trailer and now on the official Sonic the Hedgehog 4 web site, makes it mysterious.

Sega’s not revealing what that platform is for the time being, leading us to conclude only one thing: Dreamcast 2. Most likely releasing on 10/10/10.

Didn’t yesterday leaked the information that Sega creates Wii-clone ? ;)

The platform has actually been revealed. It’s the Sega Zone, a Wii-clone that works like a plug-and-play game, which will have a bunch of retro Sega games built in, along with some new arcade games, and Sonic 4, all for around $50-$60.

Sega makes games for all consoles though.

You’re joking right? If SEGA were making a Dreamcast 2 then don’t you think their most important franchise would be EXCLUSIVE to that platform?

The sega zone doesnt look like a legite competitor for the other 3 consoles. Its more like a first step back into the ring for sega. If sonic 4 was only made for the sega zone, the game would fail. Also, Id rather have a sonic heroes 2 than a sonic 4.

This is indeed a great news! I’ve been waiting for this for a long time! I believe that it’ll also be available on iPhone, am I correct? I’ve seen its trailer and it’s just awesome and I’m sure a lot will be anticipating for this game.
